This audio took my breath away. How often do we put ourselves on the “love it” list? It’s not something we automatically think of when we’re asked about the things we love… is it? This audio was a punch to the gut, because I don’t think I would have even named myself if asked this question. Sure I love DIY,, home design, my family and I am proud of myself. But do I really LOVE myself?

Sure, I love myself. But what is truly loving oneself? Is it buying that coffee? Or self care? Or is it accepting your body as it is, and giving yourself the space to be authentically…YOU?

Or is it giving yourself grace in difficult situations? So ask yourself, how can you love YOU more?

I have found that using melamine sponges gives me a nice, smooth finish on my staining projects. There’s less dripping, minimal bubbles and they’re affordable from @amazon and the dollar store!

Cheers to one year post mold remediation. To celebrate, here is the aftermath of me discovering mold in our floors. To think I thought it wasn’t that bad 🤣🤣🤣

It’s crazy to think that almost a year ago, we were living in a hotel while our home was demo’d.
It often feels like it hasn’t come very far, but when I sit and look around, I see all of the amazing things that we’ve accomplished. The bathroom is done. The pantry is at the 90% mark, a grew a whole ass human, and we’re planning so many more projects.

We’re planning an exterior renovation, a nursery, finishing the kitchen and so so so much more.

2023 is our year.

Every time I share this bathroom, the most asked question is “where are the floors from?”

They’re the color Beam from the Elite line over at @hewnfloor.

They’re not LVP or wood, or tile. They’re Stoneform™️ and they have held up ridiculously well in our bathroom. I even dropped a brad nailer from the top of the ladder and you would never know.

Toilet leaking from the ring? Let’s fix that so

Toilet leaking from the ring? Let’s fix that so you don’t have to hire a plumber!

It’s honestly really simple!
1: Turn off water and flush toilet.
2:Shopvac the tank. Learn from my mistakes. 🤣
3: Unscrew bolts at the base of the tank and carefully remove toilet.
4: Remove all remnants of old wax ring on floor and toilet.
5: Replace the new ring per instructions (I like wax-free rings!)
6: Carefully replace toilet over bolts and firmly press down if using wax. Do not over tighten! You can crack your flange (ask me how I know 😑)
7: Attach water line, turn on and fill.
8: Flush and check for leaks!

VOILA! You fixed a leaking toilet ring! Give yourself a pat on the back!
